Re: Greenlandic Workers Strike

In answer to your cable of October 21st regarding labour negotiations in connection with the Greenlandic Workers Strike at the Greenex mine in Marmorilik, we hereby inform you that equal pay and working conditions for Greenlandic and Danish workers now have been established. Furthermore agreement has been obtained between the Greenlandic Workers Association and the Danish Employers Confederation on negotiations concerning rules for settlement of labour disputes. There is not and has never been any intention on the part of the Danish Employers Confederation to interfere in discussions with the Home Rule Commission. Our only intention is and has only been to obtain fair conditions for trade and industry in Greenland.
